Time Delay Relay-On

SKU: BU-510TD Category:

This 12V Time Delay Relay-On offers precise control over when a circuit activates, making it ideal for automotive applications that require a delayed power-on function. Designed in a standard 5-pin automotive relay style without a mounting tab, this SPDT relay features an adjustable delay timer from 1 second to 1 minute, set via an internal potentiometer.

The relay activates only after a delay period begins once voltage is removed from the coil. A momentary or low-voltage trigger (as low as 1V) can initiate the timer, and once triggered, the relay latches based on the preset delay. Removing the +12V input resets the timer, offering flexible control for custom circuits, power management, or timing logic.

Built-in protections like a diode prevent timer feedback, and a green LED indicator shows relay status. With a 20A/30A contact rating, this relay is both powerful and precise, supporting normally open and normally closed configurations.

Key Features:

  • Adjustable “delay-on” function (1 sec–1 min) via internal dial

  • SPDT relay (Single Pole Dual Throw), 20A/30A rated contacts

  • 12V coil, activates with minimum 8V, low 1V trigger compatible

  • Built-in diode prevents timer feedback issues

  • Momentary pulse or constant voltage triggers

  • LED indicator for visual status confirmation

  • Idle current draw: 2mA; Power draw @ 12VDC: 120mA

  • Fits conventional 5-pin sockets: 87, 87a, 30, 86, 85

  • Dimensions: 1-1/4″ (W) x 1-1/4″ (D) x 2″ (H)
